So if we did a D&D on the forums, they way it would work is you roll for certain actions, lets say (really basically) i was fighting something and it's "Armor class" is 18.
I have a base attack bonus that i add to my d20 roll, so if my roll plus all the modifying stats are at 18 or above it, i hit.
Then i get to roll damage, that depends on what weapon i'm using.
you'd use a D20 to judge how well you preform a skill, plus how many ranks you put into the skill.
So lets say your a sneaky character and you wanna sneak.
If you have, like, 10 ranks in sneak, you get a +10 plus any modifiers.
